South central Denver’s Washington Park is known for its flower gardens, which include 54 flower beds in an informal arrangement, and as a perfect venue to participate in an Amazing Adventure Race.  The energy is high as teams gather at the start line to learn the race rules before moving into action!

Intensely collaborative, fast-paced, highly strategic and very competitive, teams race to as many Amazing Adventure Race Challenge locations as possible.  There are too many to get to in the official race period which is intentional.  Teams must choose wisely.  It is not the fastest teams that earn the most points; it’s the teams with the best plan!

Amazing Race locations are spread out across the field of play area.  First, teams must decipher codes that reveal the clue that will identify the race location.  Once teams arrive to a Race Challenge location, they engage in a series of multiple active challenges that require team collaboration, innovation, and effective execution.

Amazing Race Challenges can be completed in any random order. It is up to your team to determine the most efficient use of resources and to plot a course that will maximize the number of Amazing Race Challenges completed successfully. The Amazing Adventure Race requires teams to think strategically before jumping into action! Teams that efficiently balance strategy and action while adapting to unexpected changes are the teams that excel as they race to the finish!

Program Overview

TEAM Kickoff

Teams gather at the start line in the selected Field of Play Race Area. Amazing Adventure Race Teams rules of engagement are revealed. Teams create their own strategy from the start – all Amazing Adventure Race Challenges are presented upfront so it is up to choose their Race Challenges wisely, plot an efficient course of travel, manage the diversity of challenges that earn performance points, and move into action.

Amazing Adventure Race in Action

Teams hit the ground in pursuit of their first Amazing Adventure Race Challenge. Since teams will have different strategies, they will spread out heading east, west, north and south trying to keep ahead of their competition. How many Race Challenges locations will they successfully complete?

TEAM Results

As the clock ticks to the finish, teams will arrive back to Race Headquarters. Amazing Race Challenges are tallied and the results are in. Because of the complexity and diversity of how performance points are earned, we are able to recognize each team for a unique accomplishment before revealing the final totals. And the winners are?

Post Program

Each team will have a camera throughout the event documenting a series of widely creative team photos. We take the best of the best and put together a compilation into a high-energy photo/music slideshow. Team members are sure to ‘laugh out loud’ when they see the crazy and fun photos from the race!

Intensely strategic, highly collaborative, and mind-expanding!  Mission Impossible: Golden Colorado Gold Diggers keeps teams on their toes.  Home of the Clear Creek Historical Park, Fossil Trace, and Coors Brewery – each Mission location captures the spirit of historic downtown Golden, Co.

Working undercover, your team Mission is to decipher the codes of up to ten Mission Challenge Locations; determine the Mission Challenge location within the field of play area; solve up to a dozen ‘Mission Adventure Challenges’ at each Mission Location; and return back to headquarters before time runs out!

Throw in the highly creative Photo Challenge that has teams scanning the periphery in search of the obscure; teams must manage their time effectively to earn the most performance points.  Can your team balance the demands of both?

And if that doesn’t keep the team busy, how about we include a few mind-twisting adventure challenges that require quick thinking and effective execution under the pressure of time? Managing the many challenges of Mission Impossible: Golden Gold Diggers will keep teams on the move, requiring team focus while strategizing on the bigger picture opportunity. Resources are endless – but will team members recognize the possibilities?

Program Overview

IT'S NOT THE FASTEST TEAM THAT WINS -- IT'S THE SMARTEST TEAM!

There are too many Missions to reach within the official timeframe – this is intentional. Strategy and big picture thinking is key to success.

Unlike your typical scavenger hunt that leads teams point to point sequentially – this playing field is wide open. Your team has the opportunity to head north, south, east or west – the choice is up to you! Mission Impossible is about strategy – we don't tell you where to go – you decide the best route based on a series of complex clues. Which team will have the best strategy? Which team will decipher the most codes? Which team will complete the most missions? Which team will earn the most performance revenues?

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE IN ACTION

Kick Off: Teams gather at a central location in the field of play area within the historic downtown Golden area. A quick overview of the TEAM Balance Model will provide important clues on how to best approach the challenge.

Team Briefing: The rules of engagement are revealed and Missions are distributed. It is up to each time on how they want to strategize and set their course of action.

Mission Impossible in Action: Teams head out on foot (or step up the level of intensity with bikes) in search of each Mission Challenge location while managing their Photo Challenges. There are too many Missions to reach during the official timeframe. It is up to each team to determine which locations to target and ultimately earn the most performance points.

Results and Debrief: Teams arrive to Mission Headquarters for final scoring and review of the results. Because of the complexity of the Missions, each team is recognized for unique accomplishments. Of course there is also recognition for the team that has earned the most performance points!

PROGRAM DELIVERY OPTIONS

Start and Finish locations can be customized to your team’s meeting venue or travel requirements. Let us suggest some great places to celebrate results in the many high-energy restaurants and bars of downtown Golden.

Step up the intensity and add in bicycles! For active teams, this option provides the opportunity to experience more of the historic sites of Golden, Colorado.

With a majestic backdrop of the distant snowcapped Rocky Mountains, the Denver Zoo Scavenger Safari is a dynamic, competitive, strategic and intensely collaborative event. Combining our traditional Scavenger Hunt with our Zoo Adventure Safari, this event will keep teams on the move as they navigate and solve a variety of challenges. Highly collaborative, intensely competitive, and the complexity of managing multiple challenges simultaneously is the key to maximizing performance revenues during the designated time period. The key to success is to recognize the strengths that all team members bring to the team; allocate expertise effectively; develop a big picture strategy; and manage a ‘multi-tasking’ challenge in a limited period of time.

Program Overview

Navigation

Teams will be supplied with backpacks; supplies; maps and materials to accomplish a variety of challenges. The entire time period will require team to travel to various points in City Park and the Denver Zoo to locate; solve; and document challenges. It is up to the team on how they want to manage their time and what challenges they decide to pursue.

Strategic Adventure Activities

These are 'short collaborative events' that will require the team to think quickly! Strategy and effective execution are the keys to success. There will be a series of Strategic Adventure Activities at various points within City Park. The objective is to locate and successfully complete each of these activities.

Clue Challenges

The team will be given a number of 'Clues' that will lead them to various points of interest. Team members must solve the clue, determine where the clue answer is located, travel to the clue locations, and take a team photo at the site.

Zoo Clue Challenges

Teams will be given a series of interesting facts that hold the key to the clues that must be solved to successfully locate the animal species in the Zoo. Teams will document their arrival to the site with a team photo.

Photo Challenge

Each team will be given a digital camera with a list of required photo challenges. The objective is to decipher what the challenge requires, be open to the 'periphery' to locate the photo challenge locations, and document their team at that location. It will require the ability to balance a 'big picture' approach with 'focused attention' on other simultaneous activities.
